DIY Modern Ramadan Frame

Happy Ramadan/Ramadan Mubarak, ya'll!!!

If you hopped over from NIMIStyle welcome!! Isn't her DIY Doily Runner just beautiful??

Today, I'm going to go over this super simple Ramadan frame with a large impact, which I made for our home.

I started with this gold backless frame which I already owned- Hobby Lobby had it marked down for 80% and I knew I could eventually use it.

Next, I plucked this huge, faux peony off its stem. It was perfect since Ramadan happens to fall in Spring/Summer. I purchased the peony from Michael's.

Using hot glue, I stuck it to the top middle of the frame.

Next, I roughly measured these green stems (also from Michael's) and glued them down to look like they originated under the peony. I did 3 pieces on each side for a fuller look.

I found some gift tags in my office, which I hand lettered and embossed; "happy" in gold and "Ramadan" in a sparkly green.

I then strung the letters on sparkly gold/white twine.

I glued the strung letters on, and it was ready to hang up!! It looks great on this charcoal wall, but I usually end up moving things around all month long, so it will probably have multiple homes.
